
Meghan James Hurt
Meghan James Hurt is the Training Director for the Tidewater Electrical Industry Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (JATC), a role she has held for over three years. She manages the education and career progression of 120 apprentices as they work toward their Virginia Journeyman Electrical License. Notably, Meghan recently spearheaded the transition to the JATC’s newly renovated training facility in Norfolk, significantly expanding the program’s hands-on laboratory and classroom capacity.
An advocate for the trades, Meghan bridges her background in traditional education with technical workforce development. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Radford University and a Master’s in Education from Regent University. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys gardening, relaxing at the beach, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
