Dr. Jameo Pollock 

Dr. Jameo Pollock is a workforce development and learning executive serving as Assistant Division Administrator at the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), where he leads enterprise strategy for workforce development, organizational learning, and performance improvement across the agency. He oversees statewide workforce pipeline initiatives, registered apprenticeship expansion, leadership development, and early-career pathway programs that strengthen talent pipelines for critical infrastructure and transportation careers throughout Virginia.

In addition to workforce strategy, Dr. Pollock directs agency-wide learning operations, including professional licensing and certification programs, the Maintenance Training Academy, and the Materials Certification School. He stewards multiple multi-million-dollar training and workforce development budgets, ensuring investments align with operational readiness, safety, and long-term workforce sustainability.

Dr. Pollock brings extensive experience in human performance improvement, organizational learning, and data-driven workforce strategy. His work focuses on aligning training systems, performance outcomes, and labor market needs to ensure Virginia’s workforce is prepared for both current demands and future industry shifts. He collaborates closely with industry, education, and public sector partners to expand apprenticeship opportunities and modernize workforce development practices across the Commonwealth. He holds degrees in management and finance, adult education and curriculum development, and global training and human performance improvement, and is a retired U.S. Army Combat Engineer.
